Danish delights

A couple of weeks ago, we jumped at the opportunity of visiting CPH Kids, the new Danish kids trade event.
Held in beautiful Copenhagen, the event showcased 110 niche and more established brands.

Among the collections that caught our attention were playful and creative Bang Bang, handknitted Shirley Bredal and colourful Louie Louis.

Also not to be missed, the art lounge honouring local artists, the live photoshoot and the charity shop.

Let's colour the world!

The Let’s Colour Project started in March 2010 with the idea that injecting colour into our lives is a great source of inspiration.
Hundreds of volunteers have already brought colour to schools, streets, homes and squares in Brazil, India, France, The UK and China.
The next destination on the list is South Africa.

Spotlight on ...

Le Train Fantome
Following the arrival of her first child, Fanja Ralison designed and handcrafted her first softie Little Ozzie Rabbit. Six years later, her work has expanded to fabric dolls, postcards and prints.

Here’s the story behind Le Train Fantome.

The name “Le Train Fantome ( ghost train in French) came up when my partner and his friend were setting up their record label called Ghostbox (www.ghostbox.co.uk). I liked the name and also wanted to find something related to ghosts.

I’m inspired by children's books, fabrics, old craft books, traditional costumes and folklore.

My favourite designs are the dolls commissioned by my customers and made for friends. The results tend to be more personal when you make a character with someone in mind.

My latest design is May, made from linen and filled with polyester.

Must Haves

Whether it’s a holiday trip to Istanbul or a weekend in the Hamptons, BozAround follows the adventures of "travel expert" Vanessa Boz and her family.

While soaking up the sun in France with Marcelo 4 and Amalya 16 months, Vanessa shares with us some of her summer must haves.

  • Bobo Kids passport holders, turquoise for Amalya and purple for Marcelo.

  • "Obama" bathing suit from Belgium brand Archimede.

  • My Baa Baa blackout blind to gain a few more minutes of sleep in the morning as Amalya wakes up with the first rays of sunshine and we never know if the curtains will be good enough where we holiday!

  • Amalya's little Saltwater shoes, bought at Pomme store in NY. They're amazing, go in the water and are in leather. An iconic brand in the USA, not yet discovered in Europe.

Don't forget to visit BozAround for more travel tips!
